Sony is working on a new console featuring PlayStation 4 games. The claim was made by Moore’s Law is Dead, a YouTube channel known in the hardware and technology world. The growing popularity of handheld consoles and the interest of PC makers has allegedly sparked a new project on Sony’s side. The new console will be able to run PS4 games. This is the biggest factor that sets it apart from the cloud-based PlayStation Portal.
All PlayStation 4 games will be playable
Ten years after its launch, the PlayStation 4’s hardware specs at the time were on par with today’s AMD Ryzen Z1 APUs. This increases the likelihood of a powerful handheld console. Sony’s new handheld console will allegedly be capable of playing all the games in the PlayStation 4 library.
Sony’s new handheld console will target not only PlayStation fans, but also mobile gamers. The flexibility and innovative features offered by handheld consoles could pioneer a new trend in the gaming industry. Sony currently has a handheld console on the market called PlayStation Vita. The PlayStation Vita was first introduced in 2011 and is designed to offer a portable gaming experience.
